Bookclub

Here is our latest read from book club. I so enjoyed this book. It is set in 1946 in the UK and it is presented in letter form. The story unfolds through letters written back-n-forth between the characters. It's darling. It's laugh out loud funny and tissue worthy touching. I think it brings to light the wonderful art of letter writing. An act that has become a thing of the past due to email, texting and blogging. I am certainly guilty of it. I would much rather type something up than write it. It's quicker, my hand doesn't cramp and there's spell check, ha! But, I do miss the days of enjoying someones personal handwriting. My two Grandmother's come to mind. I can pick out their handwriting...so unique to each of them. I have one dear Great Aunt that still writes hand written letters and notes and I adore them. They are so personal and special. I love technology and advancement, but at the same time long for the "good ole days" and their sweet innocent attempt at life. Well, I HIGHLY recommend this book and hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Great pick Lisa! I love my bookclub!
