Cabo goes Hawaiin

Here is Cabo in his Halloween costume! He is a Hawaiin Tourist if you couldn't figure that out. HA! This costume is in honor of our first trip to Hawaii that we took over the summer. I know he may look tortured, but he's used to it I promise. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

The Secret Life of Bees

If you are looking for a good book to READ and a wonderful movie to SEE look no further. You need to check out THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES. I read the book several years ago and then again in my book club. I absolutely enjoyed the book. It is definitely one of my favorites. My parents and I just went to the movies to see it come to life on the screen. It was fabulous. The cast is ideal and it is so moving. Even more so than the book. I cried reading the book, but I sobbed during the movie. My parents really enjoyed it also. So get out there, pick up the book or take a trip to the theatre...it's so worth it!

Happy 60th Aunt Jo!

My Aunt Betty Jo just turned 60!! WHOO HOOO! My cousins and my Uncle threw her a surprise party at one of our favorite local restaurants; Mara's Cafe. Mara was so sweet that she shut down the restaurant at 6:00 so we could have it all to ourselves. I think she was definitely surprised and had a wonderful time. My cousins did a great job with flowers, balloons and some pictures of my Aunt taken over the years. I got to make her cake and I think it turned out pretty good. She had friends, neighbors, co-workers and family all join in on the festivities. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

HALLOWEEN FUN!

My cousins and I threw a Halloween party for a few of our friends and families. For those of you who know me, know that I LOVE Halloween. We had great fun. There were some awesome costumes. My favorite was my friend Kathryn's husband who dressed up like Guy Fieri on Food Network. I am a Food Network junkie, so I took great pleasure in the similarity of Don and Guy. My next favorite was Jill's friend Dale. He came as Slash from Guns 'n Roses. FREAKIN HILARIOUS! He really did look like Slash. Too funny. We had great food...3 soups, mac-n-cheese, desserts, veggies and dip and 2 different kinds of bread. The kids decorated pumpkins and played bingo. We can't wait to do it again next year. HAPPY HAUNTING! I hope you enjoy the pics.
