Congratulations Kristin Brooke!

Well it's official, I'm old! Kristin graduated from high school this month. What an exciting thing, but sad at the same time. I can't believe she is already 18. We all gathered in the event center at the college to witness the event. And even though they announced her name wrong (say hello to Kristin Cooper) it was a wonderful ceremony. Not too long and some wonderful musical numbers. Kristin wanted her after party to be at Boston's where she works. I made her cake of course. And I think it turned out so cute. Her boyfriend Danny and his family joined us as well. It was nice having them there. Especially since I am friends with 2 of his sisters. Danny and I went in with my parents to get her a laptop. Her parents got her a Blackberry. Spoiled! It was a great day and we are so proud of her. She will be attending the local state college Weber State University. She wants to be a teacher and she was accepted into a loan/grant program for local teachers. All of her schooling will be paid for and after she graduates for every year she teaches in a Utah school a year of the loan is forgiven. What an incredible thing. I'm not ure she realizes that yet, but she will when everyone her age is paying on school loans!
