Mt. Ranch California

The town that Jane and Fino live in is Mt. Ranch. It in the hills of central California, where gold was discovered. It's a tiny-tiny town, but we LOVE it. It's located in Calaveres County. It is the same place that Mark Twain wrote about. They even have a Frog Jumping Jubilee in the nearby town of Angels Camp. Anway here are some pictures of their house and the area.

Amador Family Christmas

Danny and I were lucky enough to get to go to California for 2 weeks over the holidays. We stayed with Ray and Shiryn (D's brother), as usual, but we were also able to drive up to the country where Danny's parents live. It was so nice since we hadn't been there in over 7 years. Christmas Eve with spent the evening with Shiryn's family...yummy food and very welcoming company. Christmas morning we opened presents and ate a scrumptious breakfast. A tag team effort by me and Shiryn. I was excited to get my Mama Mia movie and Chef's knife. Danny got the Stepbrothers movie, cologne and a new Black & Decker level. McKennah (our niece) was very excited that Santa brought her a Nintendo DS. By the way, if you hear stories about me being completely obsessed with the game while I was there...it's all lies! Then Christmas day we headed up to Jane's (D's Mom) for a couple of days. Danny's sister Monica, her fiance Jason, our nephews Josh and Jacob and soon to be nephews also Josh and Jac were there as well. It was great to all be together in what I consider the most comforting and relaxing place (other than Maui and home of course). I think that we all enjoyed ourselves. Danny and I were happy to meet Monica's fiance and his boys. It will be a great addition to our family! Here are some pics from Christmas...
